I am thinking of making the same custom flyscreen that DJ downunder fabricated.
How did the MRA Vario mounts work out?
do you have any pics of the final assembly?

Hello Gordium7,
I was successful in getting an F650 flyscreen and I was wondering if you could post some pics of your finished DJ screen with the MRA brackets?

This part is exactly the same as the BMW flyscreen ones (only black vs. silver), but are only 40% of the cost. You may need to spring for bolts of the correct size though. I suspect MRA was BMW's original supplier.
MRA Vario Mounts
I put together a DJ flyscreen over a year ago using these brackets, and I am very happy with the flyscreen, the brackets, and the look it gives my bike.

This thread that you dug up has been inactive for about 3 and a half years (middle of 2008). I haven't seen Gordium7 post on the board for a long time either. I wouldn't hold your breath for a response from him.

Howdy all! Yes, I am still alive...
I will take a few shots ASAP, but they will look identical to DJ Downunders I think.
The MRA Vario mounts are identical to the BMW ones, except powdercoated black.

With a dremel? any tips? I have one that I am very tempted to cut down.
I'd recommend using a hand-held jigsaw and a coarse, new, wood blade. Cover the screen with masking tape, mark your cuts, cut. This is how I did it and found it much easier than using the Dremel tool.

I had considered this but I want some options for a change out in the future when touring.
Did a ride from Monterey CA to Bend OR and my parabellum was a life saver.
Looking to make something that still protects the headlight/cluster chrome but has that naked street look for when the Red Bull Moto GP comes to town.

Thank you for taking the time to post some shots Gordium.
I just scored the GS screen plate and am super psyched to get this mounted.
Also found a rattle can of the Atlanta blue to match the bike. This is going to look amazing.
