Hey Talon,

You should send ChiTown around to your place with the keys. He can have it broke in for ya when you get back. Might need a wash though.

Regards Mick.

Thanks but uh...yah, I don't think so Mick.

cwrose is right - I still have a few more weeks of Afghanistanifun before I head back. My replacement gets here this coming weekend, so between that, the new bike and getting home to family, real food, beer, and people not shooting at me, I'm pretty damn excited.

Just wanted to show off my new baby the masses of fellow R12R aficionados.

I needed some intro/insert shots for a video I am working on, so what better bike to use than my beloved R1200R. Although they look like photos, they are actually rolling video, with in-camera zooming. To get a more dramatic look, I snuck into the local Ducati dealer's covered parking garage early on a Sunday morning...

Fantastic intro! You're right, the clips do look like photographs, but amazing none the less.

Looks great Peckhammer, your work is really looking nice these days! When's your next big production coming out?

LOL! No oscars for me... Thanks for the kind words, though.

I produce about one piece a month -- almost always about motorcycles -- so be looking for a new one at the end of March. The above preview is the next vid to be finished. It's in post production right now, and it's about a local Seattle guy who invented a unique roll for himself at a motorcycle dealership. Mr. Preston is essentially paid to ride bikes, write newsletters, hang out with friends, and socialize all day. This is the kind of "work" you'll never hear about at a job fair.

Nice Motoman and Talon Six!

Welcome to the club, and don't worry about buying accessories, just ride the darn thing!

BTW, I don't know how that ugly word farkle has stuck for so long.... don't you think our beautiful bikes deserve a more elegant word than that for add ons?.....

Your photo reminded me to go wayyyyyy back to my first one.... if she only knew what I had planned she'd have ran away!

Glad to see you enjoying your bike, Matt. Welcome home, too!

It's clear enough up here in Alaska to start riding, but I'm still expecting one big snowfall, so I'll wait another couple weeks before uncovering the bike. Plus, we have tons of gravel on the roads.

My first RR pics

Love the bike! The corner is part of a local race-track the Varssel-ring at Hengelo.

I finally bought one of Rock Store Photo's shots of me riding the Snake in Malibu.
Sorry, no cylinder head dragging today.
