Big props for Daily Rider. His is black; mine is white. He motors around Vancouver; me around D.C. But we both commute on the R1200R. His blog posts are must-sees.

What a great collection of photos. Thanks Rocket for your time and effort in making this project happen. I have only one suggestion: Your bike shot is a nice one and should be included in the calendar!

Thanks rrider. There's always the 2011 calendar. Reckon I 'll make the cut for that one ;)

I agree the bikes are beautiful, and I like the way the collection reflects the individual owners choice on how to capture the image of their pride and joy.

I sincerely apologize to everybody but I didn't find the time to even think about the way to shot properly my bike according to the usual creative standards I favor.

Even if as today, only remain my alarm to install otherwise all my suffering concerning electrical add ons are pretty much gone and it works Very very well so far... no fault code and everything is behind the Centech fuse box...

Unfortunately remain to find a metal worker to build a rear seat metallic brace that will hold safe my antic medium format camera, tripod and all the stuff that come with.

So ! in compensation to my faulty contribution to Rocket project
I would like to post the picture below which I screen captured and minimally modified 10 mns ago parked on Abbot Kinney Blvd in the middle of Venice Beach city with my netbook on the gas tank at 1130Pm ! 8)

Thanks again Rocket
Sorry Guys and all participant...maybe next year ! ;)

so ! in this case...should we call it "Art of Life" ?

Thanks! I think the photo was taken in very late October last year, so November is a fitting month for it.

Great story and pictures.

I wish I used my Canon 5D more often, but most of the shots on Daily Rider are taken with a Canon SD870 point and shoot. As i'm sure everyone can relate to time is always of the essence, especially when you're trying to do something daily. For me, that means most of the photos are taken during my commute and uploaded while I take off my shoes at home. The point and shoot is easier when I've only got one hand free. The 5D is a great camera though and was used for the calendar shot included by Rocket.

As always, find the tool appropriate for the job at hand.

Absolutely wonderful!! =D> I can't help but reflect on the great times and places each bike has taken its happy rider to. Just goes to show how very much we enjoy our bikes...and why they are the best in the world...

I too was late getting images to Rocket, but here are two I took when the rain stopped this month:

...and I agree wholeheartedly, this has been fun. There are lots of impressive pictures and cool places the R1200R has explored.
Thanks again Rocket and I hope to see more pictures in the future.

Eric V,

I'm interested in your mirrors. What's the brand and do they work better than stock mirrors?
