Missing topic re. Dallara - a well liked member

Well, all of the talk about wasted time and financial burden have me wondering...
Its understandable to me how much time a site like this would take to run, thats why there are so many moderators. I certainly wouldnt want to monitor all of these topics or have to read and respond to the barrage of PMs that I am sure that Doug or even the mods get all the time.
I really appreciate it, and enjoy sitting back and watching the show.
I am curious though, how financially distressing is a site like this? I have no idea at all what it would take, but memberships have got to cover a good portion of it?
Maybe that isnt any of our business either...but I was just curious...
At the very least, the recent uproar has been entertaining from both sides. Still agreeing that if you dont want to click on a thread that has warnings of content, don't. I, on the other hand enjoyed the boobie pictures and the nipple shirt immensely.

Now I can see being "entertained" by strangers arguing. For example, a couple in the next room of a motel fighting. I suppose if one considers the members of this board to be strangers, entertainment may be the result.
To me it is more like the members of a family fighting/arguing with each other. Not very pleasant to be around, especially if you are one of the family.
