2002 R1150R handelbars

Post by ray82609 »

Hi, I'm new here, just bought an R1150R. I haven't taken delivery of it yet and it's in another town. Can somebody tell me what diameter the handlebars are? I want to get a cup holder for it. Anybody have a suggestion for a good cup holder?
Thanks, Ray

Nobaody has said it so I will.

if you want to mount a cupholder to your R .... get a cupholder that is already attached to a goldwing or a harley.

Hey Ray...Welcome..and congrats on the new bike...Mine's also an 02 model....What color is it?

Just wondering..What's the cup holder for?...btw..You may be able to mount a cup holder on one side ..and an ash tray on the other side..

Here's a link to a nice self leveling cup holder.. http://r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?t=10487

Thanks for the welcome! It's the red one. I get thirsty fast traveling on a bike and with a cup holder I can just take a drink and keep going instead of having to stop.

I am with DJ on the Camelback. I use one in the summer months, and it is the only way to go. Small sips regularly is the way to go.
Dont need to stop so often for a pit stop. :D
Also gives you somewhere to carry small items if you get the right one.

I met a guy a few weeks ago in Wisconsin that had a camelback, said it was really the nuts. I've never used one but I bet if I did much riding in 85 degree plus weather, I would definately want to have one.

I have to agree with who-ever suggested getting a cupholder with a Goldwing or Electraglide attached to it, however, it's your bike and you should do whatever suits YOU.
