There are some side effects of this approach, like the tabs on the front seat that slip into the little retainers on the tank are now useless, and there's more space between the front of my seat and the tank. No biggies far as I can see. Oh, yeah, inseamly challanged folks beware.
So, if you're fed up with the stock seat, and you have $5.00 to spare, give it a try. Use the big washers with the small holes. I used a 1" stack on each side.
