Just wondering if any forum members may have already installed one of these relay kits on their bike? If so, were you satisfied with the kit and end result?

Was hoping "Cycle Rob" or one of the other resident gearheads(thats a compliment!)might chime in on if this addition is relevent to wiring longevity if staying with stock bulb. Any info is appreciated.

It's not you, it the subject line. With all the happytime we've had posted lately I think they're afraid to open your thread. Seems you like had one in off-topic too. One of the other mods or Doug may have zapped it.

Edit your title and see if you get any better response.

I installed one of the 4 fuse, 1 unswitched setups on my new F800ST to get around the canbus electrics. They're good quality components and the service was excellent.

I have been using one of their relays for several years along with a 90/100 watt headlight bulb. It works great and is easy to connect. I do not have to worry about all that current draw going through the headlight switch because it is pulling right from the battery via much heavier gauge wiring and a direct connection. Using a relay is the best way to go for a headlight upgrade, and Eastern Beaver makes it easy to do.

(I have no connection with the company.)

Two thumbs up for Jim Davis of Eastern Beaver. I ordered a fairly complex custom setup from him when I bought my R12ST in April 06. He did a great job and offered tips on installation. Top notch components and workmanship.

All done via email and diagrams.

My rig is a fused harness with relays that powers my PIAA's, GPS, XM Radio, and my ValentineOne. Jim also installed en extra set of leads for a future use. He uses Posilock and Posi-Seal connectors. All wired directly to the battery terminals (CAN BUS).

Eastern Beaver is a quality vendor using high grade parts and saving us DITY's hours of head banging. I recommend.

I ordered a single H4 relay kit from him and installed it a few weeks ago. It arrived a week after I ordered it. It is made well and of high quality components. My stock 55/60 seems much brighter now.

I would not hesitate to order from Jim again.
