Squids?

Post by Boxer »

This is what happens when I sit around waiting...

What do these two things have in common that makes us call reckless, stupid motorcyclists "squids"?

In the military, Navy guys are called squids by the other Services' guys. It is derisive.

In the ocean, a squid travels very fast in a straight line, then comes to an almost complete stop to turn.

As aquatic animals go, it is a parasite of the ocean depths. It filters various suspended detrius as nourishment. It makes a tasty meal for those denizens higher up the food chain.

On land, a squid is best used as bait. It stinks. It has little usefulness aside from catching other fish except as fertilizer.
I don't mind paying for mistakes. Can I get a discount?
