Nice shot of the three of you parked in a line on the salt. One of those places I wish I'd gone to when I had three months in the States a few years back. Looks like a fun trip. Thanks.

Where do you stay? Is there accommodation nearby or is it literally in the middle of nowhere?
I ride an R1150GS Adventure with sidecar. IBA #39193

Yea, I like that shot of the "Three Amigos" too. From left to right; me, Brian, Joshua.

As soo as we arrived, some German photographer offered to take some shots of us (he was testing out his new camera so he didn't charge us anything).

Those mountains in the background are actually four miles away! Josh and I found that out the hard way. Note to self: one bottle of water ain't much...

We stayed at a place about eight miles west of the flats called the "Wendover Lodge," which was literally on the Utah Nevada line.

On the Nevada side there were of course several casinos and on the marque (sic?) of one of them they were announcing that *ANN MARGARET* was scheduled to make an appearence! She was gonna be doing some sort of a show girl act! uh, yea...

BTW, DJ:

I have no idea why, but the folks in Australia visit my web site much more than any other nation, by far! And way more than folks in the U.S.

It's definitely cool. I just find it curious I guess.... not that you could tell me why.

Are cartoons particularly popular down unda or something?
