panniers

Post by placey »

i have the rails but not the panniers and have been looking on ebay for a while but there's so many? they all look pretty similar when reduced to a 2-3 inch jpg too.

does anyone have a simple guide as to which panniers will fit the rockster please?

It's the same as the GS and the Roadster.....and the RT and RS (right only..because the left is a full size case on the RT and RS).....I think that's about it.

And perhaps the K1200RS? I think thats what mine are from. They are standard, with the exhaust cut out, but are painted gloss black. Ugly, but very very cheap. $225, shipped to my door, complete with keys and locks. Scratched a bit, work perfectly.

There are deals out there.

http://www.ibmwr.org perhaps?

Tripton's right.Take your time. I fowned case's on ibmwr sight for about that amount in fairly good shape. It seems to me the prices go down as winter comes on, and up when spring is around the corner.Hang in there keep looking.

cheers for the info.

dj - whereabouts are you? i stayed in elwood for 8 months or so. visited geelong and followed the fruit about as the season moved so saw a good few smaller towns too, buggered if i can remember any names now though. they all seemed to have overly large graveyards with many fresh plots. after some time i figured they were mostly road kills from drink driving coz the bars are so far away living out in the sticks. correct?

Paul..I live near Box Hill now..and before that I also lived in Elwood..(Adderson st and then Beach st)..right opposite the grey life saving club.

I was down at point Ormond (Elwood beach) yesterday windsurfing..it's a nice beach...and had lunch in Acland st....that should bring back great memories.

I'm sure you must miss Oz.

Panniers

Try looking on this site: -

http://realoem.com/

Enter the site, select \Motorcycle\R1150\R1150R/Rocks etc. etc. then I think the detail for panniers is under "Frame/Fairing"

Hope that helps...
