What milege on your 'R' for this riding season?

Post by dwayne »

Well, was curious what everyone was at. Right now I'm at 9,200 KM's (5716 Miles), and I only got this bike in May of this year, with a total of 15 Km's on it. Just wonderig how far above average I am with Milege.

I bought my 04 with 5100 miles on 12-31-04. I now have 15800 on it and am planning a trip within a month that will be about 2500-3000 miles.

I just turned 42k miles on my '04. Still going strong, and no interest in getting rid of it.

I got my 04 R1150R in May of 2003 and have 62,000 miles on it; I've put over 20,000 miles on it since April. Being retired this year helps put the miles on.

The jury is still out until some folks like CycleRob and perhaps ol' Dean weigh in, but methinks Riders here just might be the mileage champ! I think ol' Patrick might've given him a run for the money, though. DJ, you out there?

What's interesting about threads like this is that we find out who is a "Rider" (like ProductUser and R4R&R) and who is a "poser". OK, perhaps not "posers" as much as dilletantes who don't ride nearly as much as some. And in all fairness, I understand why some can't ride as much as they'd like. Like me, I have a job and a family and all the obligations to go with all that.

That said, I'm kind of in the middle here: next time I roll a wheel out of the parking lot, I will turn 35,000 miles. I bought my '04 new in March of 2003. Wish I could ride it more!

I'm at about 6k since April and planning a pretty good sized trip in a week or so. Should end up with around 10k when the snow begins to fly. Not bad for a Minnesota riding season.

Bought mine June of this year, 6000Kms so far, hopefully enough summer (or at least ridable weather) for another 6K.

Cheers.

I bought my 05' May 20th of this year and now have 4743 miles on it. Funny how I remember the day I bought it, but have a hard time with birthdays.:)If things go as planned with my upcoming trip I should end up with over 11,000 this season.

Nice mileage everyone! I got the Rockster in June and have 7500 miles on it already. I ride it pretty much everywhere. I'll probably hit nearly 20k by the end of this year. I ride as long as the snow isn't flying. It sucks that I will hit the 36k and the warranty will by up way before the 3 years though.

Oh well, there are worse things to worry about. I can't stop riding the thing. I should have bought a BMW long ago.

Keep putting the miles on and be safe out there.

Chris

Miles this year

Post by zooomart »

10 months owning a silver 2004 and only have found time for 2800 miles of riding. The next two months are the best here in Ohio. Just have to watch out for wet leaves.
