WOO HOO!!!! Got a bike!

Post by jtbraun »

It's a beautiful 2003 R1150R in Piedmont Red. First bike for me, and wow, is it ever stable and easy to ride. I've put on 300 miles in the first week, loving every minute of it!

Congrats, and just wait until you start maintaining it yourself. Ridiculously easy! Image

Welcome to the forum! First bike, huh? I got the Rockster, and it's my first bike. I've had it 18,000 miles now, and could never imagine giving it up. With the advice of this board, I think these bikes can be maintained to run very smoothly for over 100,000 miles.

WHOO HOO IS RIGHT!!!

Didn't you just love the torque you felt in the seat of your pants when you revved it in neutral the first time...

Didn't it thrill you the first time you rolled that throttle and 'got after it' and THEN realized it had so much more to give....

Didn't you just lay your head back and shake it WILDLY screaming
"NOW THAT's WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!

Didn't the world with it's infinate chaos suddenly seem clear....

The first bike is ALWAYS a whoo hoo, in my experience. Congratulations on finding one that will still set off the whoo hoo alarm years from now.

Ride safe, and feel secure knowing that the full face helmet (I hope) you wear will keep people from seeing the dumb-ass looking, happy, goofy, permanent grin on your face whenever you ride.
