Where do you mount your tax disk holder?

My one was dealer supplied - cheap and leaking. It was mounted to the front of the left cylinder guard and died being smashed into someones rear bumper while filtering. :( (no cylinders were harmed during the making of this movie :P , the car driver was not upset either)

Got a new one ... and so far the best place I found is to mount it on one of screws holding the front fender (Rockster, not R1150R).

I was thinking the exhaust mounting screw, but it is a difficult reach - especially with a hugger.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

From what I've seen there seems to be two places.

Rear footgeg/exhaust mount...or...front fork/brake.

If you look up all the BMW dealers in England and check out their second hand bikes you'll see a few options.

Inside bottom bolt on the rear of the LH cylinder head seems to be most common for boxers. At least, that's where I've always put mine.

I hate the tax disk holder wherever it is mounted, so I stick mine on the screen with a one-time-use holder, which takes me about 10 minutes to get off come renewal, so I figure it's gonna keep the scumbags away too.
