Pinning System Cases?
Does anyone know where the info is on doing this? Maybe the old board? There's a spot where you can drill and pin through the bottom mount to prevent them from falling off.

So where do you get those nice looking clamps that cyclerob uses? Sources and part numbers wouild be ideal but vague hints would get me started

rocksterboy50,
There are 5 pics with imbedded text in that gallery you can clik on as an installation guide. Take the wheel off and follow the directions.
The pins are at Home Depot in one of the fastener isle's brown slide-out drawers - - - 2 to a bag and real cheap.
That modification, for it's low cost, huge security improvement, practicallity and simplicity is the one modification that I am most proud of.

larry,
They prevent the BMW system cases from falling off the bike if/when you forget to latch or lock them --or-- if the latch mechanism fails.
I lost my right side bag twice in 4 years- - - and it was returned only ONCE - - - by a Baptist Minister that removed it from the middle of the road. I was contacted by him using my checkbook info inside my lunchbox.
The clips are a very cheap insurance policy --and-- you can even YANK open the levers without having the bag pop off it's mounts.
