I have posted on another thread my own torn emotions of the drama unfolding. Friends I have met and those I hoped to meet fighting and both groups thinking they are in the right.

Years ago, my beloved collie got lost in the confusion of moving to a new house. For two weeks, the last thing I did before bed was check the porch to see if he had found his way home and to leave the gate open. And the first thing every morning, check the porch to see if he had returned. We eventually were reunited (just like Lassie Come Home  ).

My suggestion is that we leave the gate open for any departed members and hope for a reunion one day.

And JCsman:
Those that read PP will imagine my non-reaction to political issues may be short lived!
You better show up. I need you to watch my back!

JCsman,

Thank you for that!

You've done a good job of laying things out. I'm certain we can keep working to clear up the confusion.

as for guests posting, i don't think anything should be posted anonymously.

you should have to at the very least, register. not pay for membership. just register. i think it'll keep snide remarks down. there are plenty of boards out there that make you register to do any posting.

agreed.

(not that I have any particular problem with "Guests", someone not able to post under their own name has, in my view, very little chance of validating their posted opinion.)

One advantage of guests posting, if they are buttholes, it give us someone to make sport of! :P

Sometimes I post as a guest(occasionally for work), but I always put my name on the post.

Something like "Biff is #1", or "Biff the Great". But I am really a modest guy.
