Butchered English

Post by Gord »

No one ever said English was an easy language to speak....

And this is probably not new to many of you.

But worth a repeat laugh if you have already seen it.

One of the joys of English being your primary language
is that the rest of the world wishes to communicate
with you in your own language!

Thanks Gord. I've read these before but I always get a laugh out of them.

Very funny. I especially love the "flattening of the shorts" one.

Here's one:
I used to travel to Naritya Japan every 6 weeks or so for business and stay at the same hotel. One time I checked in and was walking thru the lobby to the elevator when I came across a table with a big basket that had bags of peanuts in it, it had a sign that read:

"Free your nuts here"

I stopped and stared, I started laughing so hard I though I was gonna hurt myself, and the bell boy was looking at me like I had lost my mind.
I tried to explain what "nuts was slang for, but to no avail, I'm sure they thought I was just a crazy American.
