Sargent seat for Rockster

Sorry to visit this subject yet again but I can't find the threads covering after market seats

As many others have said, I find the stock BM seat very uncomfortable and struggle to use the whole tank range between stops. I can get a Sargent seat here in the UK but it retails at £400, which is a lot of dosh if I find it not much better to ride on and cr*p to look at. I've "been" to the Sargent web-site but I'd appreciate it if any of you have pictures of the Sargent on a Rockster you could post.

I guess comfort must be much much better, as lots of you seem to ride for hundreds of miles on 'em!

If you decide you want a Sargent, let me know. I might have a buyer for my Rockster this week and he wants the low seat, not the Sargent, cos he's a "shortie". I'll pop out to the shed with my (basic) camera-phone and take some pics of it on the Rock just in case no-one else does any.

Thanks guys, that's very helpful.

For any other Brits wanting one, I've now discovered that Sargent have a direct UK outlet and they've quoted me £209 + £10 shipping, which is somewaht cheaper than the first quote I got. I assume the first one was buying from Sargent at list and adding their mark-up on it!

Ah! That could be an issue, as I'm a short-a$$ and have already had to take out all the rubber from under the BM low seat to get my feet on the deck [inseam of 30"]. Do you know how much it increases height by?

Not sure how much thicker it is, but it's firmness keeps you from sinking in much.

big papa is right about the firmness.

I believe it adds 3/4" to 1.25'' in height.

I have one and I like it. I bought it because my 'jewels' would get smashed forward with the old seat.

If you are a short a$$, you might have a problem with the Sargent.

Thanks very much for your input guys. My Sargent arrived yesterday and I'm impressed with the build quality, fit and feel [only inside the garage, as there was freezing fog last night and I'm hung over this morning!]. It seems a lot better than the stock seat and at £220 it's a lot cheaper than the Wunderlich version [here in UK anyway].

For the Brits out there, it's available from Sargent UK and took just 10 days to get from the States, individually spec'd! Excellent service.
