Thank you, whoever you are.

Feels much better than the beat down we received from Miami a couple weeks ago...

Know Me?

Yong,

Feels good to smack 'em in Scott Stadium, doesn't it. Wonder how the BCS formula will treat this score.

Frank Beamer is a good coach - two week layoff following a down loss and still ran his game and his style all over the field.

BTW, you know me....

Congrats the the Hokies. I am reduced to rooting for my Wolfpack to beat Maryland next week and make a disastrous season merely mediocre.

Amazing what one day of football will do - two weeks ago Tech went from a hip team possibly headed for the NC game, to being veritable goats no longer pretending for the throne. Then yesterday, we regain the chance to win the ACC championship along with a BCS berth.

I'm really looking forward to USC vs. Texas. That is going to be a great game. I hope Tech wins out and meets either Penn State or Notre Dame, which should likewise be a good game between two teams who hardly have ever played each other.

OhioState vs. Vir Tech?

One can only hope of a matchup like this for Ohio State. If Tech can't beat Miami then they can't beat Ohio State. Wardieone

Hmmm, that's a rather presumptuous statement. First of all, Tech committed the unbelievable sin of overlooking Miami by buying into the hype - a team they beat two years in a row and 7 out of the last 11 meetings. Miami is obviously not a cupcake program - your Buckeyes barely beat them in the NC game a few years back and they've recorded the most NCAA football championships in the past twenty years. You make it sound like we lost to Illinois or something.

I'm not too focused just yet about who Tech will face in what bowl - they have to get through two more games to get to a decent bowl - against North Carolina this Saturday and if they win, Florida State in the ACC championship.

Throwing Oil on this Fire

Post by camfarm »

Wardie,

Generally speaking, the Big Ten teams do poorly against the ACC/Big East powerhouses because they cannot adjust their game plans to the run and gun. Slow coaches and slower players. Big Ten, Big Twelve, SEC west are really nothing more than Lombardi throw-backs who can do the three clouds of dust and a kick pretty good. Then wait for a break.
