Using Reason vs. Spanking
Most of America's population thinks it very improper to spank children. So I have tried other methods over the years to control my kids when they had one of "those moments."
One that I've found very effective was for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
They usually calmed down and stopped misbehaving after our little car ride together.
I've included the photo below of one of my sessions with my son, when he was younger, in case you would like to use this technique.
