I use the Autolite 3923, gapped at .030". I find them to be equal in performance to the original Bosch twin electrode, a bit less durable and significantly less expensive.

I'm sure that there are various and sundry positions regarding plugs and I would gladly expand on the subject.

My bike is constantly in a state of flux and these plugs, at the present time, are running right on.......combustion wise that is.

Single or twin spark?

I have not yet found an alternate to the #2 plug. Using stock plugs at this time.

I used Boxermania's Autolite plugs for a while and they just burned out too fast. So I went back to the stock NGK plug. Much more satisfied with the performance!

I went with NGK Iridiums at about 4200mi. They looked great at my 6000mi checkup. Single electrode, gapped at .032" from the factory.
I went one heat range hotter on the secondary. I did not like the looks of the stock Bosch that was in there. The hotter plug keeps the business end much cleaner...
I'll dig up the numbers if anyone is interested....

For the Primary plug the NGK Iridium is BKR7EIX. NGK pn 2667.
The Secondary, one heat range hotter than stock is DCPR7EIX. NGK pn 6046.
AdvanceAuto can special order these for you in 2days....6.99 each. Bring them the NGK pn above as well as the plug number....
I would think the Primary would work fine on single spark units also...
I went w/ Iridiums for 2 main reasons....
Less voltage required to fire = easier on the ignition system.
Also, I have had very good luck w/ NGK Iridiums lasting 40000mi or more, just clean them off, no need to re-gap.....

Mine's a single spark, and I use Bosch plugs, though I have some NGK's and ND's up on the shelf, too, though I have enough Bosch's to alst me a looooooooooong time... :D

BTW, I like the dual electrode Bosch's.

Cheers!
