another helmet question

Post by 2wM3 »

Which helmet would you prefer on the Rockster, the Schuberth (C1) or the Shoei TZR. I need to choose between these two. I can have the Schuberth at around $300 and the Shoei TZR at about $250. You know how you can't really trust these sales people. They all tell you that the Schuberth is noisy, heavy and I should buy the Shoei.
I just want to hear your practical opinions.

Thanks

Um. Which one fits better? It isn't gonna matter much which 'features' you go for if it gives you a headache after 30 minutes.

For what to look for, have a look here:

Try both on and THINK about how they feel. Especially if either or both are different from what you've been wearing. The different manufacture can bring up issues you didn't know could be a problem.

Its not so much which one should wear on a particular bike, but what fits you well and is comfortable. When you try a helmet on at the store, keep it on a for 10 minutes or so. Let those little pressure points hit you for a while, because you don't want to discover them on a ride.

Thanks guys, this weekend I went with the Schuberth and so far happy with it. It is not that noisy after all, a bit heavy but what should you expect from the flip up anyway.

I am out of first 600 miles, did the service, such a relief.
