BeemerBash 2025

Post by towerworker »

Some of you might remember the annual Bash we’d hold here in the east in May. Around 10 years ago I hosted it here in Staunton, Va. It’s generally the 3rd weekend in May. I’m planning to do it again May of 2025. I will secure a motel large enough to handle us (2014 I think we had roughly 35 riders). I already have a verbal commitment from a fairly local BMW dealer to be involved as well. For those of you not familiar with Staunton we are located in the western part of Va precisely where I-64 & I-81 intersect. The riding here in my part of Va and WVa is nothing short of spectacular. So you all have a full year to plan to attend!

I plan later today to re-post this in other parts of this board.

Wayne, I think you're speaking into a void of disinterest. It seems all the social internet activity revolves around Fakebook and Instagram these days. But it would be nice if some of the old R1150R members exchanged a few quips here now and then.

Phil I fear you're correct. Not much goes on here anymore. Plus the 1150 is long in the tooth now. I'll try posting this on ADV as well. I don't have many contacts beyond the bikersdozen group. Please circulate this to any you know. We've got a year so there's time.

Phil, Yah we don't even have a like button!! I think forums like this will come back into style, like bellbottoms.
It is nice to pop on here once and a while and read some familiar faces. :) We're all still kickin'!

Thanks for setting this up Wayne. Unfortunately NY to VA is too far for me!

It may be true, there isn't a lot of interest. I only check back here once in a while .
But the fact remains, there are some of us who still ride and maintain one of the nicest models BMW made.

Every R1150 owner and lover, please take care. You are preserving history.

I need to update this to say sadly my plans for a bash event here in Staunton are not coming together as I feared. I may as well say it......
just going to happen. I was hoping to get some participation from Frontline BMW in Salem and they just simply won't return calls, messages
and emails. That in itself was a letdown. I've got my own health challenges that are slowing me as well. If anything suddenly changes I'll update but
I'm not expecting it. Phil There is always HM. Speaking of Hungry Mother......Mr Frequent.....maybe you could join us for that event? Hungry Mother State Park in Marion Va. I think 4th weekend in August this year. Long weekend of camping and riding. Generally 8-12 of us. email me if you think
you're interested [email protected]
