The site is.... Back up

Post by Doug »

After much headache, I think I have the site running better than ever. Please let me know if you see anything weird. I'm hoping this less expensive server will work out. It seems pretty snappy so far. Some big changes to mitigate traffic:
  • Pruned 8000 dead accounts and 30K spam messages
  • Added cloudflare DNS security service
  • block all IP's outside of US and Canada (let me know if thats an issue for anyone and I can allow specific ranges). This should really mitigate a lot of spammers overseas.
We'll see how it goes. Post in here what you find. Thanks for bearing with me! I really thought the site was going down for good.

Also, just post a hello here so I know someone's alive still, especially if you are from outside the US/Canada. I need to verify if the country blocker is working. :)

Thanks, Doug.

The old URL (.org) for this board generates a not-here 404 error suggesting an email to you at [email protected]. Emails to that address bounce, of course. Took a new search for me to find the new TLD.

Glad to see it here again.

I'm back after years away 'cos I bought a 2004 850. Had a '98 850 years ago, went to an ST2 for about six years but easier servicing accessibility, shaft drive, oil cooling, and telelever front lured me back.
I'm in Brisbane, Australia.

Ok, we are on the new server! Sorry for the delay. I think we are all set now. Try and break it, let me know if you see anything weird. Thanks for your patience all!

Doug, I’ll admit I haven’t been here in a great long time but if you’re accepting donations or have a support link, let me know.

Hi Chibbert, I had to change from the old system because paypal started charging tax, so essentially in my tax bracket, income goes to 1/2. Anywho, we have a new paypal link here: https://r1150r.net/paypaldonate.html

Thanks!

Haven’t checked in for a while, since I sold my 02 50R over a year ago, but glad the site lives on….
