There will always be attempts at humour wrapped around human tragedy. And typically it is not meant to make light of the tragedy, but to bring to the surface the questions that always arise when tragedy ensues.
I find this attempt at humour no more shocking than DeNiro's appearance on Saturday Night Live where he made fun of the names of Arab / Islamist terrorists - the guys who have killed innocent Americans, Israelis, Canadians, and countless other nationalities.
