Clock Stopped

Post by Hottech »

Back in September I went to set my clock back for day light savings and the blasted thing stopped working. It did not just stop but the pin you push in the back to move the hands does not work. The clock is stuck at 4:00, has anyone else had a problem with the clock? Do I need to find a new one or do you think it can be fixed? #-o

Have you checked it's fuse? Fuse #3 powers clock as well as accessory socket.

I had issues when I removed a plug from the accessory socket for charging .
I guess I wasn't pulling it out straight and got contact between power and ground .

But that would not stop me from being able to set the clock. I can not get the button in the back of the clock to move the arms so I figured it must be broken.

Just went out and checked fuse #3 and guess what, it was blown and when I put a new fuse in the back button let me set the time. Who would think that a fuse would prevent the button that turns the arms. Thanks everyone, saved me a bundle from trying to buy a new clock.

The button just runs the clock forward, either a second at a time or if held down it runs it fast forward. It's an electrical switch so that accounts for why it has no effect with a blown fuse. Glad you found it.
