¿ Whereabouts are you EveryMan ?
It'd be such a help if posters to this forum were to put in their settings, their approx location.
In the UK, indubitably MW in Meltham Bridge for replacement bits for our bikes. Like the US BoneYard, they do half a pair of
metal QD fittings to replace the snapping-prone male plastic OEM one that degrades with the passing of time.
¿ Have you seen the U-Toob vid of what happens when a QD snaps
en ruta ?
Has the potential to turn the rider's right leg into a fireball.
Thankfully Richard's K-bike here, was stationary on a trailer and his pal had a fire-extinguisher ready...

This was my comment on Richard's vid back in 2010 :
"I thought BMW's attitude in neither acknowledging nor correcting basic design faults in Boxer transmissions was disgraceful enough, considering so many early clutch failures. But this horrifying issue of failing fuel-line quick-disconnects causing riders to become soaked in flammable fuel really takes the biscuit. And all because BMW Motorrad in Berlin is now owned by those cost-cutting fanatics from the Car Division in Munich who with every passing day are busy destroying BMW bikes' former reputation for high quality and long-term dependability. Richard - your video alone should have shamed them into action.years ago - but what's happened ? Nothing...I assume it'll require a tragedy to occur like some poor biker being turned into a ball of flame before something is done by those arrogant Germans."
And those comments still apply....
