Fastway or similar footpegs for the 04-06 R1150R

Post by DanH »

A lot of stand up riding on the rough roads of Mexico, looking for a wider and sturdier footpeg for my R850R 2006, same as for R1150R.

I'm finding Fastway pegs for the GS but none specified for the Rs. Has anyone put these on their R and which model/part number did you find?

Thanks!

I'm not sure that you are going to like standing on your pegs, that is if your 850 is anything like my R1150R. The rider pegs are very high, and not like the GS models. I will take the weight off of my seat occasionally, but I can't imagine riding very far with my butt that high in the air. You may need more than just Fastway pegs.

SW-Motech On-Road/Off-Road foot pegs will fit, the R1150R is not listed as a fit but the ones for the F650CS (see link) will. I had them mounted on my previous R1150R and they improved the comfort a lot, with the rubber removed they are Off-Road pegs. They can be adjusted to two differnt heights, In the upper position they are about 3/8" (10mm) lower than stock and in the lower position they are 7/8" (22mm) lower than the stock height. Removing the rubbers will lower them an additional 3/8" (10mm).
