Can anyone tell me which grommet w/built in nut I need to attach the side panel to the gas tank?
I have checked the fiche and cannot determine which grommet I need.
It is for the lower rear of the gas tank on a 2002 R1150R where the side panel attached to the gas tank.
thanks

I'll bet it doesn't cost as much as a BMW part either .

something similar to those are called Well Nuts. They are used, in my experience, to very poor effect on the touring windscreen bracket. They work much better holding on the panels and oil coolers.
Well nuts can also be found at Lowes and Home Depot. They are with the hardware in those rows of gray drawers on that aisle. Probably just has to be close enough. They swell when the screw is driven in.
