Thanks and sorry for the "new" person questions.

Well.....I found all the parts I need as well as the windshield hardware at MAX BMW, in N.J. Spoke to Rose, who is both a sweetheart and a fellow 1150R rider. She found everything on my list and took very little time to find it!
I tried the BMW dealership in Daytona Beach and the parts guy acted like I was wasting his time by comparison. Told me the part number that I provided him for the mount hardware did not supercede up (I knew it did however) and that the parts were obsolete, none in the US and none overseas. Also quoted me retail plus 33% on the other parts on my list. No way.
Rose, at MAX BMW found the new part number, the hardware, and said there are a total of 16 sets (15 now) in the warehouse in the US.
Kirby - Thanks for the other shop listing. I have also purchased some needed items from them as well.

Pappy,

I had similar experience with Daytona BMW. I wanted new grips and they said I needed to order the entire kit left and right and said it was $430. I found grips for $30 from wonderlich america in CA. I also used max bmw online and they responded and shipped my parts fast. If you need help with anything I live in Maitland and I have the clymer manual, and maintenance dvds from beemer boneyard. I bought all the consumables from beemer boneyard; oil, filters, crush washers, spark plugs, feeler gauges, fuel filter, etc. I have a 2002 R 1150 with system cases and no screen. Sportsscreen is in the garage with brackets. My bike has 54,000 miles. I ride about 500 miles a week to and from work in Lakeland, FL.

Thanks! I really appreciate that!
So far I have things under control. Have done the Zero-Zero adjustment and with that starting point I went through all of the other adjustments to the throttle system. Couldn't get my TPS to make it all the way down to the 6mV set point but got close.
Made one mistake I will never make again....pulled the left side throttle cable loose from the throttle segment under the battery....what a fun job that was to get to it and correct.
Have removed and cleaned the starter and it got somewhat more quiet and has not dragged since that cleaning. Question...were the original starters Valeo starters? I am thinking not.
Also have one bad stick coil and one that will only produce a dull orange spark when grounded. Cannot tell a running difference at all when either or both are disconnected. Ordered two.
Tires are on order as well. Pilot 3s are on sale so that's what will be going on.
While looking for pricing on the stick coils I gave the BMW dealer in Orlando a call. He quoted me $159.99 apiece! Told him I could get them anywhere for $132 and he immediately agreed to price match. Told him to lay em out on the counter and would be down to pick them up. Then called Beemer Boneyard and got them for $119. Hope they are still on the counter.
Still may need a starter before it is all over as well. The Valeo that is in it cleaned up okay but the large washer/shield between the stator and the splined input shaft was installed off center and is wearing or I would opt to rebuild instead of replace.
