R1200r Oem led rear turn signals

Post by Backwardthreads »

Hi everyone, I purchased a new 2012 r1200r and ordered a set of the rear Led turn signals. I have been researching on how to install them but I haven't found any good info on the process. I'm sure someone here has and was curious if it was easy to do. I'm mechanically inclined so it shouldn't be hard for me to do. Thanks for the help!

They should plug-and-play with no electronic handshake necessary with the ZFE computer. (This was the case with a 2009.) Fairly sure you'll need to remove the taillight to access the turn signal connectors. I'm a fan of the LED lighting -- swapped out the front and rear signals, taillight (caused a lamp error; required a ~$100 handshake) with the OEM stuff and added P3 LEDs auxiliaries front and back.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know. Seems pretty simple.
