Removing bolts from valve cover

I have a a new to me 1998 R1100R with scraped right valve cover. So I want to replace with a new unblemished cover. Upon removal of existing valve cover I was unable to get the four cover bolts out due to the rubber seals. Has anyone found a way to remove the bolts from the old cover and reinstall into a new cover? Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Dennis,

this is a no-brainer. Simply push the rubber 4 rubber seals out together with the bolts. You may also want to get yourself the replair manual which you can find here http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp
