Most Recent Ride is a Cruiser

Post by Ves »

So, after chucking my Rock, and myself, into the weeds, figured I need to slow down a little... I've been test driving a new vehicle... It's a cruiser...
The seat is definitely much more comfortable than the Rock, and the riding position is much more relaxed. The hand grips are very cushy and comfortable. But it is kind of light in the front, so it's real easy to wheelie. It has folding foot supports so I can just stick my feet straight out to get the wind up my shorts if I want... Yeah, now that I'm on a cruiser I've also relaxed on the usual riding gear a bit... it doesn't fit my cruiser image...

The only down side is that it's way TOO slow...

Ves, good to see you are up and moving around.

Sorry to see that you are not wearing ATGATT. You would think that after your accident that you would at least wear long pants.

It's good to see that you haven't lost your sense of humor. It's also good to see you are moving about.

When I saw the word "Cruiser" coming from "Ves"... I immediately thought you might need to go back to the hosptial for a brain scan.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

What can I say... I'm a rebel... I'm STGSTT now... Some of The Gear Some of The Time... :D

My wife got the idea for that photo when I tried on my new helmet (old one was toast). Before I bought it she's like, why are you buying a helmet... it will be months before you can ride... you don't even have a bike... I'm like, hey, you have to start somewhere... :D

Well, you'll have buy some different gear. A sleeveless T-shirt for starters, and trade that helmet for a carbon fiber beanie, or a helmet like I saw on a Hardly guy locally. It was one of those German coal bucket helmets all chrome plated up. It looked great on him.
I don't get caught in the rain, I ride in it on purpose.

Ves,

And just last week I was reading about all the injuries suffered by people using walkers!!
Be careful out there. (And in there!)

Riding yesterday in helmet-optional PA, on 78 (maybe it was 81, not sure), I saw someone in your new club, wearing the colors. Or not wearing them, actually. Friendly guy, he waved back. Yep, I'm a "waver". I wave at everyone, even the chopper guys. I love it when they don't wave back, seriously, it makes me laugh...

Oh yes, the point, sorry. Anyway, your riding buddy was wearing 4 less pieces of safety equipment than you were. If you consider a T-shirt safety equipment. If you have socks on under those boots, then you had 6 more pieces than that guy. You safety nerd!
