Chin Spoiler

Post by spoon »

A question for the experienced folks, or not so experienced. In looking at past bike of the month photos I noticed a yellow R with a chin spoiler. I like the look of that. Can anyone tell me who made the spoiler or where I might find one, and will it fit the Rockster. Is there any functionality to it. Thanks.

I believe Wunderlich had them before. Not sure if they still offer them.

The part number for the unpainted Wunderlich pan is 8110152. Last time I checked, they were getting $450 for them, and $650 for the carbon fiber version (8110153). Helped me change my mind.

Check with these guys; they import a number of brands from Germany.

About 6 mos ago I too asked about that same yellow lower chin "spoiler", one of the replies said it was custom made by the former owner of that RR

I used to have a link to a site that made these things, but I've lost it. I think they were actually for the RS, but would work with the RR. Wunderlich is probably the best source for that sort of thing now.
I don't get caught in the rain, I ride in it on purpose.

The Wunderlich thingy ....

Image

+Rockster
Part-No.:8600330
Belly Pan “Daytona ”
The belly pan improves the air flow and transforms the appearance of the lower part of the R.The shape and design details give the whole appearance of the bike a more complete look, and the additional paintable area gives more options for special paint jobs. The Daytona belly pan is easy to fit &includes all fittings and TÜV approval.Made of unpainted glass fibre,a light carbon version is available for the later models.

R 850/1100 R (up to 08/2002) Unpainted glass fibre Part-No.:8110151

For R 850 (from 09/2002)&R 1100/1150 R +Rockster Unpainted glass fibre Part-No.:8110152 Carbon fibre Part-No.:8110153

IMHO, it is nice. =D>

Cheers
