I have a 2001 BMW R1100R.
The size of the tires on my bike are: Front: 110/80ZR-18, Rear: 150/70ZR-17
I was thinking about putting on Continental Road Attack Tires, but they don't have the size for my front tire.
Any recommendations on other tires and brands such as Metzeler Z6, Michelin pilot Road 2, bridgestone BT021, Avon Storm. I have calmed over the years, and do not attack the turns. Looking for a tire that provides good traction in wet/dry and will last.
Also, I put the tire pressure as per my owners manual, but a fellow rider mentioned that some put in more PSI than stated because it causes the tire to last longer. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Re: Opinions on Tires for R1100R - and tire pressure
I have Michelin Pilot Activ front and rear on mine.
I have over 5,000 miles on them, with very little wear. On this performance so far, I expect to get about 20,000 miles out of them.
There is almost no difference in wet and dry grip IME (this is also a design claim for these tires, I have since found out).
I have not exceeded traction limits on them, except for some 'drifting' at 100 mph on an adverse camber bend. I find them very predictable.
I tried +4 psi over the manual's recommendation after the first 'drifting' experience. It made no difference (that bend is on the way home on my commute).

Has anyone tried a 170/60 18 on the rear? I noticed Shinko has that size in their Podium tire.

I have the spoked wheels. I didn't think I could/should change the tire size from what it came with. I have the 150/70 zr17
