Change tire and TPMS care

Post by kallakaki »

I'm about to replace my tire at a small local tire shop and I fear that they know as little as I do if any special care has to be taken to the tire pressure monitor sensor.

Does any body know what it looks like, how big it is, where it is located and what meassures has to be taken in order not to destroy it? :-k

Thanks!

I found a site with the information about the sensor here.

There also is a label on the rim where the sensor is.

The instruction book just tells me that the shop should know what to do. Have any of you had any problems with tire shops destroying your sensors?
