Hi all, I have a 2003 R1150R and when the engine gets to running temp it rattles on the left hand side, quite loudly. I have upgraded the cam tensioner, changed oil and filter but still it rattles. The noise reminds me of tappets on an old car engine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How many miles?
At what milage was the last valve adjustment done?
What type and weight oil are you using?
Could be just a simple valve adjustment needed, hence the questions.

My '04 does this once warmed up - I assumed it was just one of the quirky sounds of this engine. I just had a valve adjustment done...

Hi, Its done 9500 miles, I have no idea when the last valve adjustment was done (if ever) and I am using 20/50 Duckhams oil. Is valve adjustment easy to do?
