FI cleaners & anti-seize

Post by tor1150r »

Hi,
I just attended a tech seminar at BMW in Toronto. They suggest removing the FI's (and o-rings) and let them soak in a FI cleaner, but not the stuff you add to your fuel.

So far all I can find is Seafoam and others that are additives. Is there something anyone else is using to soak the injectors in for a few hours?

Apparently this does wonders in keep the fuel/delivery clean and efficient.

Also, they suggested using a copper-based anti-seize on the sprk plugs when re-installing. I have some Loctite copper anti-seize (good to 1800 deg F). Anyone using something like this as well on the OEM plugs?
