sport screen
Was looking at getting a small screen to duck down behind for a little protection from the rain. Most screens either don't fit the Rockster or are much to tall. Don't like the wind buffetting around the head that comes with the medium height. The fly screen is about right size but doesnt fit. Sport screen a little tall. Has anyone had any luck trimming down a screen to size? What do you cut it with.
Thanks,
Doug

The front handlebar clamps are tapped all the way through to the underside of the head. With the proper sized replacement bolt and lock nuts you can attach the two armed (versus the four armed) windshield brackets. That adds the choice of the Speedster screen, the Givi, and perhaps others as possible replacements. Looks are more subjective, but fit and secure mounting are possible.

That is a great mod, I would never have thought of that. Looks good tooriceburner wrote:As said - I've used a visor and glued it to the "eyebrow" (using 3M industrial strength glue pads), but you can't really duck down behind it.
If you want proper weather protection you're looking at a 10" screen minimum imho.

I can't take all the credit - my father did it to his R65LS 20 years ago....allanj255 wrote:That is a great mod, I would never have thought of that. PIAA 1100X - get them from any PIAA stockist.ganesan8770 wrote:Excellent modification!
I like the extra lights you've fitted Bro.... what make are they and where
can I get them? Thanks.
They're mounted to the headlamp support brackets via a pair of holes I had to drill. I wired them (via supplied relay and switch loom) into the full beam panel light - so they're only available to me when full beam is lit. I don't believe in causing undue glare to other road users.
