Question for the group. Now that winter is here, I've been using my heated grips regularly. When the heat is on, the throttle seems to stick a bit. The rotation of the throttle becomes slightly more difficult. Any experience/solutions with this would be appreciated.
By the way, I just crossed 8,000 miles on the bike, and love it more every day. Good job BMW!
Mine did the same.
Take the bar end weight off and shim it with a little washer - Voila you're done.
It may take you longer finding an washer than actually doing the work.
+1 on the shim washer. I put a throttlemiester on mine, then cranked the grips up and found that the throttle bound up just a touch. Popped the TM off, changed shims and PERFECT!
Or... forget the washer, just loosen up your switch assembly, and slide it a bit further in on the handle bar, away from the bar end weight. The throttle moves with it.
