BMW as a Trade In on a Honda Blackbird

Post by Arbee »

I was going to trade my BMW in on a CBR1100xx Blackbird until they offered me $2500 for it...

Looks like the Beemer will be kept for life as i just couldnt figure out why the most expensive bike offers the worst trade in prices around.

They tell me they are hard to sell, news to me i seem them everywhere...

They are hard to sell in a Honda showroom.

Arbee,

First, how dare you trade a classic BMW naked roadster collectors' item showpiece for a Honda (well the Blackbird is sweet)?

Second, Doug probably did not explain the price for the R1100R forum is perpetual ownership by the founder (that would be you as I recall).

Third, I'd never expect my Honda dealer to have a market for a BMW. He just has to reflect his reality in potential resale.

But best of luck if you do a private sale and manage to get that Blackbird!
