Re: R1150R windshield
+1 on Aeroflow. I had the sport screen with laminar lip. It was OK.. Then got the Aeroflow with tank wings... Incredible wind protection..

Re: 1150r Windshields
Steve. It all depends how much protection you want. I had a BMW sport shield, with Laminar lip. It worked great, got most of the wind blast off my torso. I like Sundbeemer's idea of having the option of switching from sport to tour and vice versa.. Right know I'm using the bike for mostly touring, a...

Re: Do Wind Deflectors Work?
I have had the stock BMW sport shield with Laminar Lip. It looks and works pretty good, and I would be interested in selling it.. Before that I had a Cee Baily sport shield. Decent wind protection but some buffeting.. Last year I purchased a Aeroflow. It's the size bellow their full touring.. No buf...

Re: In ear headphones
I have the Isolator earphones model ER-6i for my i pod..
Great quality sound, when the road turns technical I turn off the tunes, they work as ear plugs..
Shop around, I paid somewhere under $100.

Re: Tank Wings / Aeroflow sport screen
I decided not to go with the tank wings, but did get the Aeroflow sport screen and bar plate.. Went for a week long tour of southern Colorado, and can tell you it worked great.. Much better than my old set up of BMW sport screen with Laminar lip.. Picked up the screen in person at Aeroflow, Paige wa...

Re: Tank Wings
Thanks guys.. I'm going to give them a try.. Just want a little added protection on the longer rides, and if it helps with fatigue and weather protection, even better... We are leaving from Los Angeles to Colorado on the 29th of this month. So hope to locate a used pair, or I may give in and buy new...

Tank Wings
I'm taking a week long trip from Los Angeles to Colorado, and was thinking of putting on some tank wings.. Currently I have the BMW sport screen with a Laminar lip. And GS hand guards.. They are kinda funky looking, and not exactly cheap.. Worth the investment?

Re: My Crash,
This crash was back in 07..My friend Paul was behind me on his GS.. He took the picture, and it made the back page [Slipsteam] of Cycle World March 07.. I still have the bike, it's got 54 k, and I don't plan on getting rid of her.. The tank was dented, the front end tweaked, broke the windscreen, ta...

My Crash,
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2563/3692508658_b6e50c1b87.jpg?v=0 Coming home from Death Valley, had a little crash. It was on 9 mile road, going up to Kennedy Meadows.. Hit some gravel, went off the road, the bike bucked me off, and landed upside down.. I was OK, and the bike was repaired.. What a...

Re: Aerostich, anybody..
I live in Southern Cali and the one pc Stich is a little too warm for the summer.. I used tent seam sealer on the inside flaps to cure the leaky croch problem.. no more leaks..
My next suit I think will be a Motoport 2-pc mesh..cooler in the summer..
