MOA

I just received my 20 year pin.

You'd think they could have sent me a Rolex with all the members they have now. 8)

Another factor to consider in tire mileage is that two people can look at the same tire and come up with two different conclusions as to tire life. Amen!! I think it has a lot more to do with what is acceptable than some mysterious factor. I am a worry wart, I think that the only thing keeping me f...

storage

My bike is stored in my garage 24/7, and is ridden regularly.

I guess winter weather has an impact on everyone. The water in my swimming pool has dipped down into the low 70s, burrrrrr.

I'm on a Bonneville now.... spoke wheels = tires & tubes (danm!). I don't plan to use it as a balancing agent, I've got in in the event of a puncture only....... Pat I loved my 02 Bonnie, they are great bikes. I think you might be better off with AAA (Plus RV) in the event of a puncture rather ...

Seems a bit slow, but they have changed the fork legs under warranty. .... with corrosion or bubbling paint get down to your dealer, and get them changed. It's the only way BMW may invest in getting this right in the future. Disney Good for you, sounds like your dealer was taking good care of a cus...

I can give a plug for Helen's line of products. They are excellent!! Helen is a very devoted rider that has built a business on a model that should be the basis for a Harvard MBA. Beemer vs. Bonnie

I've had both, and currently have chosen the R1150R, without regret. I believe that the Bonnie can be easily enhanced to make a very comfortable, and reliable ride that I would take anywhere. Buzz at 60mph?? Something isn't set up right!! The Bonneville is very close to a broken in R up to 80mph in ...

brake fault flash

Not to state the obvious, but does the light continue to flash after you have ridden off, or just after you start the bike?? I'd guess that if you ride off and it continues to flash your battery is due for replacement. Is the 04 equiped with a gel battery? Are you using a gel-battery compatable char...

tune-up

The reasons could be many. You just had the 12k service done by a shop, or did you do it yourself?

Your using premium grade petrol or 87?

Did the problem start at the same time as the 12k service?

More details needed.

ride on.

Glad you are okay, scary. I'd wait to find out what the dealer says was the cause. It would seem highly unlikey that it was independant of the service, but I would still wait to hear. My patience is based upon an excellent service history with my dealer (BMW Orlando). I've been to other dealers wher...

Ankle, for sure to prevent wind, rain, cold, etc. Do the pants have some type of system to tighten the cuff around the boot? I must recommend the Aerostich Darien pants for that feature. When I'm walking in them I look like a guy wearing pants that are 2" too long, but when I'm riding, and wear...

Keep us advised. I will be suprised if the warranty covers the problem. Where and how was the bike stored during the two years of prior ownership?

Good luck.
