Re: does your bike have a name?

"Hank", don't know why. My Ducati is named Lola or after I crash on the track my wife started calling my Duc, that red headed devil.

The only offer I got was for a few of the parts. I will delete the add there when I figure out how. For now she stays with me.

Re: Almost sold my beloved R1200R

I got the city lids from my mechanic, he had customer who brought them in from Europe and then didn't want them. I think I saw a thread about city lids here. http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/ab59/Josh_S/BMW%20R1200R/IMG_0117.jpg http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/ab59/Josh_S/BMW%20R1200R/IMG_0118....

Almost sold my beloved R1200R

I bought a Ducati Streetfighter, and love it for what it does. I thought I couldn't justify owning two great bikes until I rode 280 mile on the Ducati (100 of it on the track) by the end of the day I was nackered. Need a long bath and 3 aspirin. I've put 400 miles in a day on my R and felt wonderful...

Yup, my kinda bike. Love the powder coated wheels and vavle covers. The green is a bit much at first but I quickly find I like it.

Re: Tall Guy Seat Question

I too am 6'4 and I had Bill Mayer Saddles make a custom seat, its about 1 inch up and 1 inch back. I have 7000+ miles on it and love it. I also have suburban machinery's lowered pegs. I ground then plenty on track so I may take them off next time I plan to ride on track.

Thanks,

Jeff the are a bit heavier, and It may be my perseption, but they seem to have taken any engine vibration our of the grips in a most pleasing way.

Did the seat give you a stock height? I hear that the Remus provides a deep growel but is not real loud.??? Robert Thanks for the thumb up, I had the seat built slightly taller than stock and sitting back an inch, at 6'4 it gives me a perfect perch, and saves my knees. The remus even with the baffl...

Re: Wunderich Fairing on, bar ends + more take a look see.

never have had a faired bike before I have nothing to compare. So I'll compare it to No - fairing. It is quieter and the wind still hits but it feels gentler and somewhat dissipated. Without it I would get tired over 70 mph, now over 85 mph and it still feels good. I don't notice an added noise, wel...
