Okay... R1150RS

Warning... dumb question...

I've owned my R1150R for a few years now and I've never heard of nor seen a R1150RS. Now I'm seeing a few used ones pop up.

What is the story of this bike? 8-[

Charlotte NC Rentals

I realize this is an old post but the information is relevant.

The Charlotte area HD dealers are indeed the only sources that I am aware of for rentals.

Still, Harley makes it pretty easy to rent bikes and HDs are fun too! :P

Autocomm

I also have an Autocomm, (last year's model). It works pretty well but there are some things to nitpick... - the older model has no controls at all like the new version has. (The newer version, with rider and passenger volume control, would be far superior to what I have). - the unit could do a bit ...

Dropping It

I have never dropped a street bike. Dang, I must not be riding enough! (I HAVE had some close calls though).

I'm sure my time will come.

Waterproof Boots

If you're interested in a more classic style, check these out:

I have a pair. The quality is first-rate and they're extremely comfortable, versatile and waterproof. Quite warm too.

Foot Pegs

Can anyone tell me if stock foot pegs from an RT will fit the R1150R?

Also, if anyone can suggest other sources for foot pegs that fit the 'R' bike, I would appreciate it!

TIA

RL Motorcycles

I'll just chime in too...

I bought a Sargent World Sport and a backrest from RL. Couldn't be happier!
(unless of course they could get Sargent to slash their prices a bit...)

My experience = great products/great service.

Comfortable Seat

I've only tried the Sargent and I love it. Any of these mentioned are better than stock!

Ok, Jumping in...

Just got my beakster last Friday. I noticed the post from someone regarding their bad experience with a new Sportster and I must say I'm surprised. I love mine! 8) But to each his own and I digress... I added the R to the garage to allow for some two-up, short distance touring with my wife. For my s...
