Re: Rockster Luggage

some good suggestions from previous posts. After riding my R1150 from coast to coast my suggestions would be a tankbag coupled with two large mouth duffle bags from Kermits Camping products. I chose two medium size bags over the large as they can be stacked one on top of the other. These bags have a ...

Re: Best Sticky High Mileage Tyres?

Re: Anyone ever been or going to Americade?

have been to Americade about 15x...mixture of Goldwings,Harleys, sportbikes and certainly BMW.I used to stay in Lake George but it has become very crowded. Super riding in the area. The Adirondacks, Catskills & the Green Mountains of Vt. I now find a room about 20 miles away (less expensive) and ...

Re: Curios Question for Ex-cruiser owner or people who have both

I think that you may be very pleased with the comfort level on the R1150R. I rode mine from the east coast to San Diego and back last July ( 8,450 mi ) in 23 days of riding .The bike has a sports shield and a bead seat from Bead Rider..Its riding comfort surprised me. I am 5'8",inseam is 29&quo...

Re: Buying an r1150r

VG choice.Twin plugs,SS brake lines,Overdrive (6th) comfortable seating position and great mid-range torque make the bike a delight in country curves.Add cases, tankbag & GPS and you are off to the opposite coast. It really is a well balanced motorcycle.
Enjoy

+1 on the Bead Rider seat cover.Greatly improved comfort on LD rides and what more can u ask for a $35 investment.Try one before u spend hundreds on a custom seat.

Re: Recommendation for Accessories for R1150R - 2002 just bought

This will be my 4th season on an 04 R1150R and I had a 96 R1100r for 6 yrs. The following are the accessories I found most useful. 1.Bmw side cases. I would also look at GIVI. 2. Sports windshield in Smoke available from ZTechnick. ( I'm 5'8") reasonable wind protection & looks good also. 3...

Re: What drives you?

I ride my motorcycle simply because it excites me. I have ridden more mountain passes, followed more river roads ,seen more ocean ,met more great people and have sampled more home made cookies than I ever would have riding in my car. After many years, Riding is still my Nirvana..

Re: Wunderlick Tank Bag

Had the same problem till I got a piece of synthetic mesh used under throw rugs to prevent them from slipping. Mesh is available in black and cut slightly oversize to the bottom of your bag prevents bag from slipping under load and the mesh is virtually invisible. Any carpeting store should have thi...
