Sure do appreciate all the responses. I knew I'd better sit down before I wrote the check. Will look at several options but there is no doubt they need to be replaced. Hey, had to spend my tax return on something !! Thanks again to all.

Eureka Springs Fall Bash
Though there were only a handful of us, weather and riding conditions could not have been more ideal. Big thanks to Dan for making the arrangements and it was great to see everyone again (or meet for the first time!) Arkansas is full of great riding and all 10 of us had a great time. Look forward to...

Re: Synthetic oil
Purchases AmSoil 20w50 this afternoon. I don't have a AmSoil filter but will probably change both at 5000 miles (or six months) anyway. Thanks for the input.

Re: Synthetic oil
I appreciate the suggestions. I have been thinking of converting to synthetic for awhile, and just have never gotten around to it. I suppose it is because I don't mind changing the oil and filter and can accomplish those tasks in about 20 minutes. I have ridden about 4500 miles in the last three wee...

Synthetic oil
I know this is a topic that has probably been bantered around a dozen times, but I have missed all the talk up to now. I have an 04 R1150R that I will turn 50K on very soon. I am interested in changing to synthetic oil. Could you please let me know what type you use and filter, and how often you cha...

Re: 2008 FALL BASH IN OZARK, ARKANSAS
Just made my reservation for the Fall Bash. Hope to get there a little earlier this year and look forward to seeing all that are able to make it. Sorry Gypsy will not be there -- damn work gets in the way of a lot of things, doesn't it.

Re: Considering top and side cases
I got a top case from J. C. Whitney that cost $69.00. It will fit on your luggage rack as is, and can easily be taken off and carried. It will hold a full face helmet and there is plenty of room for your lunch and other things. I pretty much leave mine on all the time as there is always something I ...

Re: R1150R comfort/ergos?
I am 5'10" and have an 04 R1150R. It has a neutral position which can be made even more comfortable (for me anyway) by putting a peg lowering kit and handlebar risers as well. Altogether I think that cost me < $200. Course, I can't remember where I ordered them from but I bet Priaprismic (on th...

Re: Anyone Use Bridgestone BT021?
I am on my second set of BT021s. I put some Michelin's on two years ago (I have an 04 R1150RA) and didn't like them at all. I replaced the Michelin's with some 021s and got 9000 miles on them -- I felt they were more stable at higher speeds then the Michelins as well. Bridgestones were on the bike w...

Re: What kind of oil to use in '04 Rockster?
Welcome !! I have an 04 R1150RA and started using Honda semi-synthetic (20W50 for down here in Louisiana) with a K&N filter and improved my gas mileage from around 48 to 50 mpg on the highway averaging approximately 70 mph.

Thanks to all!!
I would like to thank Gypsy, CycleRob, et al., and especially Priapismic for all the work that was put into this weekend. The weather was outstanding and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. I had a great ride home and hope everyone did the same. I do hope to be communicating with all soon.
