How has that replacement woked out?
I heard there is a heavier duty version as well, YTX14H-BS ?
Can you put in the bike dead/new and use the battery tender plus to charge it initially?

Battery Going?
My 2007 R1200R (in service date october 2006) still has the original battery, which I belive has to be on it's way out. I know there have been many battery threads, but I guess availability changes, so I thought I'd ask now. Specifically, what ar ethe exact make and model of the batteries I should g...

Re: eBay advice requested
When that bike sold on ebay, the buyer did NOT likely (though possible) bid your exact reserve amount (you said it was an odd amount. He bid higher, maybe hundreds higher but since ONLY HIS bid topped the reserve, he won at reserve. That is how ebay works with a reserve adn one bidder above reserve....

Re: Dead battery
Once a battery is cranked (by trying to start the bike) down to zero power, in the cold, does putting it on the battery tender repair it as if it hadnt been run down to zero, or does running it all the way down do permanent harm?

Thoughts On Squeezing Every Ounce of Battery Life
I am in that position RIGHT now! I am in NYC, ny. Can anyone post links and prices to exact suggested batteries? I'd liek to buy one in the next few weeks BEFORE I get stuck. As previously mentioned by another poster, my 2007 R12R was built in 2006, so perhaps I am playing with fire using this 3+ ye...

Direct fit battery
I did some searches and recall several batteries being suggested on r1150r.net. What one or two or thhree do you folks suggest, and any link to buy is helpful. Maybe we should do a group buy? I think there are LOTS of us with bikes just reaching 3 years. Mine just went OFF warranty at 3 years old la...

Re: Batteries and battery chargers
I have a fairly early R12R, in service date was October 2006 and warr runs thru Oct 2009. I am the sendond owner but can only assume the battery is original as I purchased it two years ago and I am sure the original battery is in there. Am I playing with fire not proactively changing the battery, or...

Re: batt. breakdown
So as my 3 years draws near (my inservice date was oct 2006) on my 2007 R12R, am I playing russian roulette by not proactively changing out the battery, or can it realitically provide more life (without major chanc eof being stranded)?

Charging tender trouble
My 07 R12R is nearing its Oct 2009 3 year warranty ending, as its in-service date was Oct 2006. On the computer, the temperature readout is flashing-- My guess is that is my low battery warning? The bike has been sitting for 3-5 months of very infrequent use. I can tell the battery is weak because i...

Rukka ArmaX Jacket vs BMW Tourguard 2 40L available
That gear looks amazing. Anyone do a campare against BMW's StreetGuard 2 that is in same price league @ $849. Looks like both have the highest tech XCR, kevlar adn Gore, etc. In case anyone is interested, I purchased a BMW Tourguard2 in Euro 98 (which is 40 Long) and it is a little long for me. I wa...

I'd love to know how much different it is. Dauntless, I was the guy who actually got your old low seat and swapped with your florida buyer. I still dream about the low frame option so id love to hear about it.

Oil change COST???
What is the range it would/should cost to have the oil (and filter?) changed. Looking for something like: "If I do it myself, the oil and filter would cost x at the BMW dealer", and if I have the dealer do it, it would y (in a less expensive city/dealer), it would cost z at an expensive de...
