I have an 03 r1150r and I have a tapping sound or the right side after the engine is warm. It's a clack, clack sound not a clock, clock sound. I don't suspect a wrist pin because of the sound. I thought it was a lifter but I adjusted the valves and it's still there. It's only after it's warmed up. T...

I use Meguires Plastx I don't see any mention of it here, but it cleans a faceshield well and is available at Walmart and any auto parts store.

That's normal. The rear tires clear themselves as they spin and the fronts as they brake.

This used to drive me crazy, so when I changed tires @~11000mi, I did the all the usual caliper cleaning. Applied synth caliper grease (the blue stuff 8) ) to the back of the pads also, but I also put a very light coating on any surface that the pads may contact....such as the bottom of the spring ...

Yes, mine is an 03 too. We both seem to have the same symptoms

I have front brake squeal and am lost for a cure. I took them off and put the blue stuff on the back, sanded the rotors, and cleaned everything. All the things I would have done to stop squeal on a car, and it's still there. Any ideas? Are some pads more prone to squealing than others? Is anyone fam...

Just about any dry cleaners should be able to replace it or tell you where to have it replaced.

I've never had an airhead so I can't compare, but I don't find the oilhead hard at all to maintain.

Thanks for the welcome! It's the red one. I get thirsty fast traveling on a bike and with a cup holder I can just take a drink and keep going instead of having to stop.

Hi, I'm new here, just bought an R1150R. I haven't taken delivery of it yet and it's in another town. Can somebody tell me what diameter the handlebars are? I want to get a cup holder for it. Anybody have a suggestion for a good cup holder?
