Re: Anyone intalled pivotpegz on R1150R

I was told that the PP-11MK2 would fit my 2003 R1150R but I didn't actually purchase them so I can't say for sure.

"We have done some research and we have been informed that our Pivot Pegz part # PP-11MK2 should fit your bike."

Re: After market slip on and repacking

I've got a Neptune muffler on my ride and it seemed to be getting a lot louder. Some of the dill weeds over at ADV.whateveritis.com were saying that Neptune mufflers never need repacking. I couldn't figure why that would be since I could shine a light down the chute and see a perforated core. My dir...

I've been curious about Works Performance shocks for my R. I liked them on my CZ.

I watched it live and couldn't have been more scared, unless I was up there looking down. I thought he was gonna die!

Next year maybe he can put the landing ramp on the opposite side and just clear the whole thing in one leap.

Re: Dirt and gravel road

I've had some success riding DRY dirt roads. The biggest problem with dirt, that I've encountered, is mud. Obviously you'll have a tough time finding traction with street tires on mud. But the worst is when the front fender packs with mud and the wheel stops turning. Kinda hard to steer with a locke...

Re: Aerostich boots: should I keep them?

Alpinestars has a women's line called Stella. Not sure what all is available or where the best place to buy it is but since the Aerostich combat is mostly a stripped down MX boot maybe you can find what your looking for at Alpinestars. Here's one pair of boots I found with a half-hearted search. htt...

Re: Post Your Dirty Pictures Here

Well you did better than I did in mud adventures. Twice I've crashed on muddy dirt roads. My hat is off to you and your riding prowess. I do have excuses, of course. The first time I was surprised by a mud hole, did a big dirt track slide and almost had it saved but ended up high-siding when I hit t...

Re: What grade gasoline are you using?

I'm not worried about the cost but if I don't need premium (bike does not knock or show effects of too low octane fuel) then why waste the extra money to gain nothing. The bikes fuel management system is not so sophisticated that it compensates for low octane fuel automatically (no knock sensors) so...

Re: What grade gasoline are you using?

I use the "mid" grade because as I understand it, you don't need as high an octane at higher altitudes (Albuquerque is at 5000')

Re: New Mexico in mid November?

I think it will definitely freeze overnight and it might not warm up much during the day, but then again sometimes it's suprisingly warm in Nov. The northern part of the state usually gets the first snow of the season and anything can happen at the higher elevations. There's got to be a reason why s...

Actually I did a bit of research from the automotive end and came up with this. I'm sure there are many other suppliers but $40 to $60 seems to be a good range. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?D=o2+sensors&Ntt=o2+sensors&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Main&Ntx=mode+matchallpa...
