Backfire
I have a Remus muffler on my 2002 R1150R
Techclusion fitted.
The bike runs good thru the entire range, idles at 1100 or so.
When closing down the throttle from a high speed, I get backfires.
It's a lot less since I timed it, but I'm curious as to the combustion in the muffler
Any comments?

Re: Tire Height
I'd say the danger is more that you're going to risk rubbing the outer tyre diameter against the swingarm/shock mount. Bets bet if you want more ride height is to use a GS Paralever arm. This will pull the rear wheel down relative to the rest of the Paralever geometry. I've done just this on my Roc...

Re: Tire Height
No it isn't safe. The unintended consequence is you change the rake and rail and you can have serious handling problems I put a larger rear tire on a Sportster I converted to a Street Tracker. It changed the rake & trail and I had frame shake at 80. I put a fork stabilizer on front and it mitiga...

Re: Windshield (re)installation
Just basic stuff... DON'T force it in... make sure it's clean...put some WD 40 in there then try to seat by turning counter clockwise... till felling a click then clockwise
... that may be it...Don't force it... if it doesn't go in clean w WD40 and try again..

Re: Hi from a newcomer from Italy
Really? But on the 01 - 03, there isn't a water pump. You need one to circulate the antifreeze. For an oil cooler , you can take the pressure needed off the oil pump. My guess is the 150cc pushed the oil temp over the 1100cc motor If memory serves, the R1100S I toured Europe with didn't have an oil ...

Best of luck with the new bike, don't hesitate to ask questions!
Be sure to check the antifreeze levels in the tankside radiators, a service overlooked by many.

Re: cover advice
Hehehe.. I've used a loosie bike cover like that to hide from the rain on the parked bike and once down at the Baja 1000 - hid from 110 degrees in the desert on the ground There was one tree within sight and I wouldn't go in that shade cause I thought the snakes had first dibs... :D http://ragspix.s...
